From Motherhood To Stardom With Actress Katherine Nunez

Katherine Kristine Nunez is Latina American Actress of both Dominican and Spanish descent. She was born and  curated in Weehawken, New Jersey. She grew up with her brother in a single parent home, and is the proud mom of two boys. She started her career as a video vixen in many music videos for dominant rappers like Ludacris, Shaggy and many more. She has been featured in many magazines like, Naluda Magazine, Validated Magazine, El Especialito, Modelocity. Katherine, also known to her friends as Kathy, later transitioned into acting. She is best known for her role as Porsha in Pocket Full Of Game 1& 2 on Tubi, Better Than My Last, and A Fathers Pride. She has done all this while being a mother of 2 boys, so rest assure that Kathy is someone who represents independence and resilience. She has shown that you can face all kinds of adversities in your life and still follow your dreams.

How did you start your career? I started my career as a model and bartending on the side.

What has been a major influence in your brand? Being a single mom of two boys is my major influence.

What are your career aspirations? My career aspirations are to be able to to provide and give legacy for my two kings thru the merits of my hard work through my craft of acting. 

As a woman of influence and a respected business mogul how do you aspire to assist individuals wanting to get into your field ?  I aspire to assist individuals who want to get into my field by simply being a force to look up to, but also someone they can relate to. I have gone thru all the same struggles as they have and I’m ready to go thru it again with my successors. I want to be able to guide them truthfully . 

Describe your greatest strengths in your career. My greatest strength in my career is my tenacity. I never give up. No matter what people’s opinions are of me, I keep going. My purpose is to inspire another young latina girl to keep pushing through ALL adversities. To never give up no matter how hard it may seem. It’s not hard! It’s simple. If you believe. 

How important is it to make a difference? It’s very important to me to be able to make a difference. In life you only get one chance. One chance to show God Almighty, what you can do here on earth, and I truly believe that everybody here has a purpose and everybody here has an opportunity to make a difference whether you choose to take on that opportunity is up to you, but for me, I take it very serious. I think God gave me kids at a very young age for a reason, God put me through all the things he put me through at a very young age for a reason and that’s why I am the way I am now. I just don’t give up. I feel like you’re never too old and you’re never too young to find your purpose whatever that may be, find it and get to it, because God is waiting for you to find your purpose and follow through with it, my purpose and my opportunity to make a difference is honestly to be an influence to young little girls and to show them that you can be smart, beautiful, classy, sexy, all at the same time, and be a mother and still pursue your dreams you can do anything you set your mind to as long as you believe in yourself.
