What inspired you to pursue a career in music production and writing?
Kenny: Well, for me music is my inspiration. I’ve always loved the sound of it. Music was my first love. Production and writing came later, as they helped with the message.
Can you share some of your most memorable experiences working on Hip Hop, R&B, Latin, and Gospel music projects?
Kenny: Throughout my music experiences I’ve had many memorable moments working with different genres. The one that sticks out was in high school, playing with the steel drum band. Those times and the training we had were life-changing.
How do you approach the creative process when producing music for yourself and others?
Kenny: My approach when creating is to be honest to the music. It all has to be something that I can feel, and it has to come from a genuine place.
Tell us about your single “Love Is All We Need” and the message behind it. How do you think it resonates with today’s world?
Kenny: “Love Is All We Need” came out of that genuine place we talked about earlier. The message is in the title because we need more of it in our world. The hope of the message is to bring true love back, without any motives or reasons. Just love someone like you’d wanna be loved; no matter how they look or where they come from. Just love them..
What can we expect from your rendition of John Legend’s “All Of Me”? How did you bring your own unique touch to the song?
Kenny: The expectation of John Legend’s song “All Of Me” was to share my interpretation of such a beautiful song. Building my own touch on the song was extremely fun. The creative process was one I’ll always remember.
With so many genres of music that you’ve worked with, how do you ensure that your personal style shines through in each project?
Kenny: You can be sure that with every genre I’m familiar with it will be in a song, in some way. I’ll ensure that cause I carry the love of all types of music with me every day.
What are some surprises or exciting projects that we can look forward to from you in 2024?
Kenny: There are SOO many things on the horizon next year, from music, tour dates, fashion and more. So you gotta stay tuned.
In a world where negativity often dominates, how do you use your music to spread love and positivity?
Kenny: The use of music can be the carrier of inspiration and can promote your cause. As artists we are carriers of a special gift of change through our message. My mission and desire is to continue to spread love and positivity.
