T-Pain Receives The ‘Coveted’ Soul Train ‘Legends’ Award 🏆👏
At a youthful 39 years old, T-Pain has already secured his place as a legend in the music industry, and this recognition was rightfully bestowed upon him at the 2023 Soul Train Awards.
The Tallahassee-born rapper-producer was honored with the Legend Award, a prestigious acknowledgment presented by his longtime friend and personal “life coach,” David Banner.
Reflecting on the impactful moment, T-Pain shared, “When I finally got the courage to ask somebody for help with my life, I went straight to David Banner, and the words he gave me in the three hours of us talking set a whole different trajectory of where my life was headed.” Amidst the heartfelt sentiments, T-Pain injected a bit of humor, playfully suggesting that it might be “a little early” for him to receive the Legend Award.
“It’s a lil weird,” he teased, “I feel like I got two, three more songs we can probably do.” 🏆🎤👏
