Cincinnati Bengals Dealt Blow as Star Quarterback Joe Burrow Sidelined with Wrist Injury

The Cincinnati Bengals are facing a significant setback in their quest for a Super Bowl victory this season, as the team confirmed that star quarterback Joe Burrow will be unable to play for the remainder of the year.

Head coach Zac Taylor revealed that Burrow appeared to suffer a significant wrist injury just before delivering a touchdown pass to Joe Mixon in the second quarter of the team’s Thursday Night Football clash against the Ravens.

Despite Burrow’s attempt to play through the pain, cameras inside M&T Bank Stadium captured his struggles as he was unable to grip a football effectively. As a result, he had to sit out the remainder of the game, which ultimately ended in a 34-20 loss for the Bengals.

Taylor stated that the 26-year-old quarterback will “likely” require surgery to address the issue. This unfortunate development poses a considerable challenge for the Bengals as they navigate the rest of the season without their star player. 🏈😢
