Tyler Perry’s ‘Ruthless’ Actress Rhonda Stubbins White Passes Away At 60

Actress Rhonda Stubbins White–best known for her role in Tyler Perry’s Ruthless–has died at the age of 60. A friend reportedly announced that Rhonda Stubbins Whitesuccumbed to cancer at her Los Angeles home on Monday (Dec. 6).

Rhonda Stubbins White was a seasoned actress whose career began in the early ’80s at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Actor Alec Baldwin was one of her classmates.

She officially broke into television in 1992 when she starred in an episode of NBC’s Here and Now, a short-lived comedy that also featured The Cosby Show actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner. In 1994, she appeared in the TV movie Out of the Darknesswith legendary recording artist Diana Ross.

In 2020, she landed a recurring role in Tyler Perry’s BET drama Ruthless as Agnes. Ruthless is tied to The Oval, another Tyler Perry production. Rhonda appeared in 20 episodes, playing a religious sex cult leader. At the time of her death, she was still assigned the character. Season 2 of Ruthless is still airing. Tyler Perry has not spoken about the actress’s death, and his plans for the character are unknown at this time.
